Children's Ministry: Calvary Stars: Policies & Guidelines

Our Teachers(we call them Leaders)
You will know them by their Calvary STARS name badge.

Registration
We ask that all parents/guardians complete a registration form for each child. Forms should be filled out once a year. Registration provides our leaders with important information about your child in case of an emergency.

Check In Procedures
Please abide by the check in and check out procedures, they are intended to protect you and your child.

At check in, you and your child will be given a numbered wristband. The wristbands identify you with the child. We also ask that you initial the sign-in sheet. If the child's name is not preprinted, please fill in the appropriate information at the bottom of the page. Children's Ministry classes begin promptly at 9:30am and 11:30am. To minimize disruptions, please bring your child to class on time.

Check Out Procedures
You must show the class leader your wristband for the child to be released to you. Teachers are not permitted to release the child without the appropriate wristband.

Please pick up you child promptly after the service ends.

Parent Paging System
In the event that you are needed in your child's classroom, the 3-digit number on your wristband will be displayed in the front of the sanctuary or Fire Escape. Reasons for being summoned are: upset child, injury or disciplinary reasons.

Sick Child Policy
In order to maintain a healthy environment, children will not be admitted to class if they have a fever greater that 99.0° or symptoms such as a runny nose, fresh cold (four days or less), fever, rash, persistent cough, diarrhea or other signs of illness.

Move-Up Weekend
This the Sunday, usually the 3rd week in June, when children and teens move into the next grade level class. Their new classroom will correspond to the grade they will be in when the new school year starts.

Why move up so early? Moving up early in the summer gives our new junior highers and new high schoolers the opportunity to take advantage of the many activities available to them during the summer months.

Some, not all, children will go to a new classroom. Below is a list of those effected on Move-Up weekend. If the grade your child is in is not listed below then they will stay in their current classroom until next summer.
