Calvary Chapel Fredericksburg is blessed to have sent out the first full-time missionary family from our fellowship, the McCartney family, in the summer of 2006. Please pray about being involved in serving Him through supporting the McCartney's.
The missionary worker needs a dedicated support team while he is preparing to go, serving on the mission field, and someday returning home.
We as the Body of Christ really do need each other. All the parts of the Body work together in one direction: to build His Church.
Those who go and those who send them are equally important. All are vitally involved in the fulfillment of the Great Commission. All are dynamically integrated and moving toward the same goal. God's call on your life to serve as a sender must be just as vibrant as the call on the life of the one you send. Your commitment to serve on the support team must be as sure as that of the missionary worker. The responsible action you take is as important as the ministry your field worker performs.

Prayer - The very foundation of the support system. Help cover the McCartneys in ongoing spiritual warfare. Revival starts with prayer. (gift of intercession)
Morale - Always points back to God’s original call, gives a godly perspective in time of need. Godly encouragement in the appropriate context. (gift of exhortation, edification)
Logistics - All the bits and pieces of the home country responsibilities. Handle money, bank, tax and legal issues. Good with organization. (gift of help, administration)
Financial - Help with raising and keeping track of financial support. God loves a cheerful giver. (gift of administration)
Communication - Receiving missionary newsletters and emails, to share with the congregation. Keeping the line of interaction open between missionaries and those in the United States. Updates and bulletin board. (gift of administration, exhortation)
Blessing - Sending books, tapes, birthday cards, personal needs, ministry needs, special touch of encouragements. (gift of encouragement)
